How do I make a booking? Select your desired property, then click on 'book this property' or select a date from the availability calendar and this will bring up the booking form. Complete the booking form and make the payment via PayPal, and the booking is confirmed by email to the email address provided.
Do I need to pay now? Some owners require full payment in advance, other take a deposit at the booking point. Making your full payment via credit card at the booking point avoids bank charges for SWIFT style bank transfers. These bank charges can cost as much as £25 and may require a visit to your local branch.
How do I ask questions about the property? We endeavour to answer most questions about the property in the property details, but if you cannot find your answer then you can use the 'ask the owner' link on the property details page to send the owner an email. If you have other questions you can use the contact us facility at the top right of every web page.
Do I need travel insurance? Yes. Our advice is to obtain insurance cover for your vacation that includes cover for medical expenses and cancellation (in the event that you need to cancel your holiday).
When/how do I pick up the keys? You'll be emailed an information pack, including all the details for finding the property, picking up the keys, how everything works, etc about 4-6 weeks before your vacation. If you haven't received it then use contact us to let us know and we'll send it again.
Will you send me an information pack? Yes, these are generally sent out 4-6 weeks before the vacation. If details change we may send a revised version, so please keep checking your emails.
I don't seem to receive any emails from saidiavacations.com? Set saidiavacation.com as a trusted site in your mail software, and use contact us to confirm your email address and ask us to resend any mail.
What documentation do I need to bring on vacation with me? You should print and bring your information pack and the booking confirmation email with you on vacation.
Do I need to bring towels or bed linen? Generally all our properties are fully equipped so towels and bed linen will be provided. The property information pack should provide details of any commonly required items that are not provided in the rental.
Will the property be supplied with basic food and cleaning supplies? Many owners offer options for food provision as extras. Alternatively, you may prefer to buy your own basic food provision from the shops in Mediterrania Saidia's Commercial Centre. Most properties supply basic cleaning materials and equipment on the basis that guests replace any items which are exhausted. Please check the information pack for details.
Will the property have internet access? Not all properties have a wireless hub, or hardwired internet installed. Those that do will normally identify that this service is available in their property details. However there are some other options: Internet Cafes: There are internet cafes everywhere, with several in Saidia. In addition, some of the cafe/restaurants at the Medina have WiFi available. If you are bringing a laptop with you, you can buy locally a broadband dongle that will allow you internet access through the local 3G mobile phone network. The dongle simply plugs into a spare USB port on your computer, you enter a PIN from a scratchcard which allows you 1 month's internet access, and you're set up! You can buy this device from a large Wana store (there's one in Berkane), they cost about 650 dirhams plus 200 dirhams per month for a card which gives unlimited access. There's no obligation to buy the card for subsequent months.
What if I need some other things/services? On the booking form many owners include a list of extras which can be purchase when you rent the property. You may alo wish to browse the additional services available via saidiavacations.com from our Additional Services menu item. Mediterrania Saidia Commercial Centre is well equipped with shops, restaurants, bars and service providers.
How do I cancel my booking? If you need to cancel you need to contact the owner as quickly as possible, either by email or telephone. The cancellation policy for each property will be detailed in the property details.
I need to reschedule my booking? If you need to reschedule your booking, please contact the owner as quickly as possible. Generally owners will endeavour to be as flexible as possible.
Are my personal details secure? Saidiavacations.com (and the owners of properties advertised on saidiavacations.com) take your privacy very seriously, and operate reasonable measures to maintain the security of all information provided by our guests. We will not sell, transfer or otherwise pass on your details to any third party.
What do I do if there's a problem with the property? The information pack will provide contact details in the event that there is a problem with the property. Please use these contact details at the time so that the problem can be rectified during your stay - rather than waiting till you get home. Most owners will have a contract with a local service provider for this purpose and to generally maintain the property.
Who provides the utilities and other services? Most owners include the cost of all utilities (with the exception of telephone costs), cleaning, gardening, pool cleaning and property maintenance within the rental price. Check the information pack for details.
What do I do at the end of my holiday? In the information pack, details of the process for 'checking out' will be provided. Guests are expected to leave the property in generally the same condition as they found it, including returning all property inventory items from the location they found them. Guests may be charged for damage or maintenance costs through misuse of the property.
